Highlights film

If you missed Give it Up for Palestine, don't worry! You can watch highlights from the evening, behind-the-scenes interviews with the acts, and a sneak peak at the 'Health Under Occupation' documentary, featuring Imran Yusuf and Jeremy Hardy, here:

The evening was a great success raising much needed funds and awareness for MAPs Health and Dignity Campaign running throughout 2017.

2017 marks a year of tragic anniversaries for Palestinians: 10 years of blockade and closure in Gaza, 50 years of occupation, and 100 years since the signing of the Balfour Declaration.

Jeremy Hardy was our Master of Ceremonies for the evening hosting Bill Bailey, Alexei Sayle, Sara Pascoe, Imran Yusuf and Shazia Mirza.

Proceeds from the night went to MAP's projects supporting Palestinians living under occupation and as refugees.

Earlier this year in January, Jeremy Hardy and Imran Yusuf also took a trip to the West Bank with MAP to visit our projects.

A few short documentary style films were screened on the night showing the tour, which included meeting local Bedouin families receiving primary health care services from the MAP funded Mobile Health Clinic in the Jordan Valley, run by our partner the Islah Charitable Society (ICS).

They also visited our new burns unit in Alia Hospital, Hebron, the Dunya Women's Cancer Centre in Ramallah and the Saraya Centre, who run a psychosocial programme for young adults and children in the Old City of Jerusalem. They shared some of their experiences on the night, and their film will be available soon at map.org.uk/HUOfilm.

On the evening these six outstanding comedians each showed their support to MAP's work and helped raise awareness of our 2017 #HealthandDignity campaign for Palestinians living as refugees or under occupation.
